David began employment with American Heritage Ambulance in February 2006. He came to us with over 25 years experience in the automotive industry. He has more than 15 years of Management/Supervisor experience.

After retiring from the automotive industry he returned to school and successfully completed the SC Emergency Medical Technician Course. Thereafter, he obtained his National Registry Certification. David’s primary responsibilities include maintaining a Fleet of 17 ambulances, 8 wheelchair vans, and all management vehicles. He consistently ensures all vehicles meet the SC DHEC/DOT requirements.

David is an ASE Certified Master Technician and performs all major repairs and maintenance of the entire fleet. His ability to diagnose  mechanical failures is second to none, enabling management to effectively and efficiently manage fleet cost without the need for outside assistance. He also completed Stryker's certification course and is certified to maintain the Stryker Stretchers.

David also coordinates the maintenance of all medical equipment through certified technicians. David’s ability to interact with all personnel is a valuable asset. He serves as the Communications Manager, responsible for the operations and personnel in the dispatch center. He oversees the distribution of all calls for the Charleston location. On a daily basis he interacts with the Operations Managers to ensure the best coordination of the units and all the fleet maintenance issues. David is a true asset to the management team. He is instrumental in all aspects of the company operations. He manages, rides calls when the system is overloaded, performs mechanical duties, oversees dispatch staff and scheduling, as well as acting on behalf of the CEO in her absence.
