Rate of pay is set by the CEO based on years of experience. Employees are paid biweekly. Employees must have their checks directly deposited into a regular checking account at any bank. Voluntary deductions may include payment of health insurance premiums, and/or participation in a tax-deferred savings plan (401K).
AHA offers a different type of health care plan. There are several provider options for each type of plan. In addition to health plans, AHA also offers dental and vision plans. If you plan to participate in any of the available benefits you must enroll within 90 days of employment or wait until the open enrollment period for the following year.
AHA employees may also select insurance for accidental, cancer and dismemberment, long and short-term disability, and/or long-term care, as well as life insurance.
To ensure that you are prepared for retirement, AHA offers a 401K to which you may contribute and defer taxes until the money is withdrawn. The plans are administered by Benefit Guard.
Non-exempt full time employees earn annual and sick leave. Non-exempt full-time employees annual leave accrual rates increase by years of eligible service. AHA recognizes 10 state/federal holidays. The holidays include New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
